In an effort to improve organization and efficiency in the Testing Centre, a new feature has been introduced to give supervisors a better overview of test bookings and timings.
The issue of test spacing
So far, the supervision has faced the problem of students coming in with a reservation for a test but not being able to run the test. This was due to uncontrolled minimum spacing between tests set by the teacher. Please note that these spacings are subject to change and are not reflected in the booking system. Therefore, if you book a date for a TC, make sure it is not too soon after a previous attempt of the same test. The teacher has the right to limit the spacing of tests as they wish.
New Function: spacing visualization
A newly implemented feature in the supervision UI now not only displays the times of each test, but also displays the |↔️| symbol if the interval between tests is greater than one day. This change allows supervisors to immediately identify tests with longer spacing and to better inform students if they have booked too early (with too short spacing).
Intuitive interface
When you hover over a specific test in the interface, more details are displayed, allowing supervisors to quickly get all the information they need. This feature has been designed to be intuitive and easy to use for all FEM Testing Centre staff.
Conclusion
This new feature is another step towards streamlining processes in the Testing Centre and ensures that both students and supervisors can better collaborate to make testing run smoothly. Testing Centre management expects this change to yield positive results for both staff and students.
