There was an organizational error at the FEM Testing Centre that led to mistakenly open free dates on Saturday and Sunday later in the afternoon. Specifically, this error concerned bookings for dates on 11-12 May 2024 and 18-19 May 2024 after 4pm each time. All of these bookings had to be cancelled.
Cause of the error
There was a discrepancy in the scheduling and opening of available dates in the system which caused the incorrect opening of time slots. These slots were mistakenly made available for bookings, resulting in the subsequent cancellation of these appointments.
Recommended action for students
Students affected by this situation are encouraged to rebook their term to an earlier time or any other suitable date. Currently, the FEM Testing Center is still available at earlier times.
Rebooking procedure
- Moodle Access: Log in to your course at Moodle.czu.cz.
- Selecting a new date: In the booking section, select from the available dates that are still free.
- Confirm the change.
Rumors about “disappearing” reservations
In light of this situation and the fact that some students did not read the emails we sent to all concerned, rumors began to arise that reservations “sometimes just disappear”. This allegation is not true. All changes and cancellations of bookings are made on the basis of specific reasons and students are always informed of these via email.
